Sarah Jessica Parker has teamed up with GAP to design a limited edition children's fashion range.
Drawing
on the themes of luck, love and magic, as well as the actress's own
childhood heirlooms and her family tradition of beginning each new month
with the words "rabbit, rabbit," the collection features separates and
bags for girls and boys, and is dotted with bunny references throughout.
From dresses and bomber jackets to khakis and t-shirts, the
collaboration features sweetly nostalgic details such as gingham
fabrics, eyelet hems, stripes and florals. Parker also worked with the
brand on two women's dress styles that are included in the collection.
"Creating
this collection with Gap has been such a treat as a mother, as one of
eight children, and as a reconnection with the brand," said Parker, who
fronted several ads for the US label in the early aughts. "I hope the
pieces are cherished by the children who wear them, that items are
passed down among generations, and that some great memories are created
while wearing them."
The
collection is the latest big design project for the talented Parker,
who launched her eponymous "SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker" footwear and
clothing brand back in February 2014. The label has carved out a
reputation for its brightly-colored stilettos and a series of little
black dresses.
