EAST RUTHERFORD — The Giants didn't lose a game this weekend. They didn't win in the game-within-the-game either.
The Browns and 49ers remained winless on Sunday with blowout losses to the Vikingsand Eagles, respectively, and stayed ahead of the Giants in the early 2018 NFL Draftorder. The Giants remained at No. 3 with their 1-6 record, but their lead for that spot got a bit weaker with the Colts' late-game loss to the Bengals moving Indianapolis (2-6) to within a half-game of the Giants.
If it's any solace, the Giants do have a nice-sized lead on the Buccaneers, who currently have the No. 5 spot at 2-5. The Giants are a loss ahead in the loss column, plus own a head-to-head defeat against the Bucs.
Here's a look at where the Giants stand in the midseason draft picture, and their updated chances of getting the top pick, as of Monday morning (Broncos-Chiefs on Monday Night Football will not change their order):
