Lin Yuxin holds narrow lead at Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship

The 17-year-old posted a two-under 69 to edge ahead of Andy Zhang and midway leader Min Woo Lee, where the winner receives an invite to the Masters and The Open in 2018.
First-round pacesetter Shae Wools-Cobb lies a further two strokes back in fourth spot at Royal Wellington Golf Club, with Kerry Mountcastle and Yechun Yuan tied for fifth on four under.

Lin moved ahead by following an opening-hole birdie with back-to-back gains at the fifth, only to triple-bogey the par-four sixth and drop a shot at the ninth to reach the turn in 37.
The Chinese star bounced back to make successive birdies from the 13th, before grabbing the clubhouse advantage by picking up a shot at the par-five last.

Zhang surged up the leaderboard with six birdies in an eight-hole stretch around the turn, with Lee birdieing the last to join him on seven under.
Wools-Cobb holed a 30-foot eagle from the fringe at the last to close a level-par 71 and get to five under, with only 14 players under par for the tournament.
